Description

The HR Generalist is responsible for providing comprehensive support across various HR functions including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, compliance, benefits administration, and training & development. The role serves as a point of contact for employees and managers, offering guidance on HR policies and procedures, and ensuring that HR practices align with company goals and legal requirements.



1. Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Manage the full-cycle recruitment process, including job postings, resume screening, interviewing, and selecting candidates.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define job requirements and ensure alignment with organizational needs.
  • Facilitate new employee onboarding, ensuring a smooth transition into the company, including paperwork, orientation, and training.

2. Employee Relations

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees to address HR-related inquiries and concerns.
  • Mediate employee conflicts and provide solutions to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Assist in handling employee grievances, disciplinary actions, and investigations in accordance with company policies and legal standards.

3. Performance Management

  • Support managers in managing employee performance, providing guidance on performance reviews, feedback, and development plans.
  • Administer performance management systems and processes, including tracking performance goals, appraisals, and development plans.
  • Assist in identifying training needs and career development opportunities for employees.

4. Compliance & Policy Administration

  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, including equal employment opportunity (EEO), health and safety regulations, and wage and hour laws.
  • Maintain and update employee handbooks and HR policies to reflect changes in legislation or organizational changes.
  • Assist in preparing and maintaining records for audits, government reporting, and compliance.

5. Compensation & Benefits

  • Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies.
  • Provide guidance on benefits options, eligibility, and changes, and assist employees in enrolling in or changing benefits.
  • Assist with payroll processing and data entry, ensuring accuracy in compensation, deductions, and tax filings.

6. Training & Development

  • Coordinate and deliver training programs on topics such as company policies, workplace safety, and skills development.
  • Assist in identifying areas for employee development and collaborate with management to implement relevant training and development initiatives.

7. HR Reporting & Administration

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records, HR databases, and HR-related documentation.
  • Prepare and analyze HR reports, such as turnover rates, headcount, training participation, and performance metrics.
  • Assist in HR audits and ensure that records are compliant with data protection and privacy laws.


Requirement

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business Administration, or a related field.


Experience:

  • Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in an HR role, preferably as an HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, or HR Assistant.


Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations and maintain confidentiality.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
