Description

The HR Officer supports the recruitment, training, development, and overall well-being of employees. They ensure compliance with labor laws, maintain staff morale, and create a positive working environment that aligns with the hotel's objectives and guest service standards.


Key Responsibilities


1. Recruitment & Onboarding• Coordinate the hiring process, including posting job openings, shortlisting candidates, and conducting interviews.

• Prepare offer letters, contracts, and onboarding documentation.

• Facilitate orientation programs for new employees to introduce them to company policies and culture.


2. Training & Development• Identify staff training needs and organize relevant programs to enhance skills.

• Maintain records of employee training and certifications.

• Collaborate with department heads to develop career development plans.


3. Employee Relations• Act as the primary point of contact for employee queries and concerns.

• Mediate conflicts between staff and assist in resolving workplace issues.

• Organize employee engagement activities to promote a positive working environment.


4. Performance Management• Support managers in conducting performance reviews and appraisals.

• Track probation periods, promotions, and role transitions.

• Develop performance improvement plans when required.


5. Compliance & Administration• Ensure adherence to labor laws, company policies, and safety regulations.

• Maintain and update personnel records, payroll inputs, and attendance tracking systems.

• Coordinate with payroll to manage employee compensation and benefits.


6. Health, Safety & Welfare• Monitor employee health and safety protocols and ensure compliance with hotel policies.

• Facilitate initiatives to promote mental and physical well-being.

Requirement

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Previous experience (2+ years) in HR, preferably within the hospitality industry.
  • Understanding of hotel operations is an advantage.
