Tax Compliance (Australian Taxation Office - ATO): 

• Prepare and file individual, sole trader, partnership, company, and trust tax returns in accordance with Australian tax regulations.
• Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax documents to meet ATO requirements 
• Generate financial statements for clients, prepare quarterly and monthly management reports. 
• Prepare and lodge Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Installment Activity Statements (IAS) monthly or quarterly, ensuring compliance with ATO guidelines. 

SMSF:

• Ensure that all SMSF activities comply with the latest legislation and regulatory requirements, including ASIC and ATO guidelines.
• Prepare and review financial statements and annual returns for SMSFs, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Manage SMSF tax compliance, including preparing and lodging BAS, income tax returns, and other tax-related documentation.
• Oversee fund administration tasks, including bank reconciliations, investment valuations, and member contributions.
• Stay informed about changes in superannuation laws and regulations and adapt practices as necessary.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for all SMSF transactions and documentation.
• Calculate superannuation liabilities accurately and ensure compliance with relevant regulations. 

Technology Integration: 

• Preferably possess knowledge of the DEXT platform for efficient data extraction. 
• Comfortable working with Google Workspace; familiarity is preferred, though not essential. 

Adaptability to Varied Responsibilities: 

• Undertake other duties as required, showcasing adaptability and a proactive approach to fulfilling additional responsibilities that contribute to the team's overall success. 

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, business administration, or a related field
• Must have at least 4-5 years AU Accountant experience
• Advanced proficiency in Australian business taxation, GST, and payroll processes
• Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, MYOB, Xero and Microsoft Office 365
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail 
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills 
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 
• Experience in a remote or virtual work environment is a plus 
• XERO Certified Advisor are preferred but not required
