Island Star Express Inc. was founded in 1999. The company provides passengers a modern and convenient airport transfer from Kalibo International or Caticlan Airports to any resort on the island of Boracay. Its services include bus, boat, and in-land (island) transfers. Since then, it has transported over 4 million passengers to and from the paradise island. Island Star Express operates an expanding fleet of 45 vehicles of which 23 are 50-seater buses, 5 vans, and 17 multicabs. It boasts an average vehicle age of 3 years as a result of continuous acquisition and modernization efforts to meet increasing passenger demands. All units are provided with tourist transport franchises issued by the Land Transportation and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) and are fully compliant and certified to all government requirements. With safety and convenience as a primary goal, all passengers onboard are automatically insured at no additional cost. Island Star Express and its sister company Patio Pacific Boracay are fully-owned subsidiaries of Charlex International Corporation. Island Star Express employs over 200 people in the Philippines; 80 percent of which are local to Kalibo, Caticlan, and Boracay.
