Job Summary:

As a TOC (Technical Operations Center) Intern at a Barebones Inc., you will assist in monitoring and maintaining the technical systems that support color grading workflows. You will work closely with the TOC team to ensure the smooth operation of servers, media management, and data transfers involved in the post-production process. This internship offers hands-on experience with industry-standard tools and technologies in the entertainment and post-production industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor color grading systems, servers, and media assets to ensure consistent and optimal performance.
• Assist in identifying and troubleshooting technical issues in real-time, including hardware malfunctions, software errors, and connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with the color grading team to ensure smooth workflows and address any technical challenges that may impact production timelines.
• Help maintain a comprehensive log of technical issues and resolutions, providing accurate documentation for future reference.
• Assist in implementing updates to systems, color grading software (e.g., DaVinci Resolve), and network infrastructure.
• Participate in troubleshooting activities, learning to diagnose and resolve technical problems. Maintain and update documentation for processes, procedures, and incident reports.
• Communicate system performance and technical issues to senior staff and escalate incidents as required.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Film Production, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of post-production workflows, particularly in color grading (experience with DaVinci Resolve or similar is a plus).
• Strong technical troubleshooting skills and a keen interest in post-production technologies
• A keen interest in problem-solving and the ability to analyze data to inform decisions.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with an eagerness to work in a creative environment.
