Account Specialist (Can Start ASAP)

We are seeking a detail-oriented AP Specialist to support the finance team on a 5-month contract. The role is responsible for end-to-end accounts payable processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of invoices while maintaining compliance with company policies and financial controls. The ideal candidate can start immediately and efficiently manage high-volume transactions.

Key Responsibilities

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and proper approval.
• Perform 2-way and 3-way matching (invoice, purchase order, delivery receipt).
• Prepare and process payments (checks, bank transfers, online platforms).
• Monitor accounts to ensure timely payments and resolve overdue items.
• Reconcile vendor statements and investigate discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate and organized AP records and documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal departments on billing concerns.
• Assist in month-end closing, accruals, and reporting.
• Support audits by providing complete and accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

• 5-Month Contract (Immediate Start)
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years experience in accounts payable or general accounting.
• Experience handling high-volume invoice processing.
• Familiarity with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or similar).
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Able to start immediately with minimal supervision.
