Description

  • Assist or attend to the duties of the Marine Superintendent as necessary or as assigned by the VP-Operations,
  • Assist in the preparation of dry-docking indents and attends to the dry-docking of company vessels.
  • Performs to the monthly inspection of the vessel in the absence of the Marine Superintendent and recommends to the company corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensures that the planned maintenance of each vessel are carried out in accordance to its schedule and recorded.
  • Monitors the consumption of each vessel making sure that it is in accordance to the engine/motor's working capacity and in consideration to fuel conservation policy of the company.
  • Attends to the testing of all safety equipment and apparatus of the vessel and the required and/or scheduled calibration of each.
  • Reports directly to the Marine Superintendent or in the absence of the VP- Operations.
  • Performs other tasks as required.

Requirements

  • Preferably Naval Architect, Marine Engineer, Project Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, or related field
  • Proven experience working on a shipyard
  • Familiary with shipyard operations
  • Knows tariff, gantt chart, etc
