As a Customer Declarant at ADL Logistics (Philippines) Inc. you will be responsible for ensuring all customs documentation is prepared accurately and in compliance with regulatory requirements, managing interactions with customs authorities, and providing expert guidance on customs-related matters. This role is crucial to maintaining smooth and efficient import/export processes, minimizing delays, and optimizing costs.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and Process Documentation
Complete and submit import/export declarations, commercial invoices, bills of lading, and other required documents in accordance with customs regulations.
• Ensure Compliance
Monitor and maintain compliance with all applicable customs laws, regulations, and trade agreements, including tariff classifications, duty rates, and import/export restrictions.
• Liaise with Customs Authorities
Act as the main point of contact with customs officials to resolve any issues, discrepancies, or queries related to customs clearances.
• Maintain Accurate Records
Keep thorough and accurate records of all customs transactions, communications, and compliance activities to support audits and regulatory requirements.
• Advise on Customs Matters
Provide guidance and recommendations to internal teams on customs requirements, duty optimization strategies, and cost-effective compliance practices.
• Monitor Industry Changes
Stay informed of changes in customs regulations, international trade agreements, and industry practices to ensure the company is always compliant.
• Assist in Audits
Support internal and external audits related to customs activities, providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Coordinate with Stakeholders
Collaborate with logistics, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure smooth customs operations and resolve any related issues.
• Extensive knowledge of customs laws and regulations.
• Bachelor’s degree of Customs Administration (Licensed Customs broker is an advantage). Fresh graduates with no experience are welcome to apply.
• Experience in handling import and export documentation, portal and lodgement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Relevant certification or training in customs procedures.
