Description

  • Creating a recruitment strategy: Designing and implementing a strategy for recruiting 
  • Defining job roles: Developing and updating job descriptions and specifications 
  • Posting job ads: Preparing recruitment materials and posting jobs to job boards, newspapers, and colleges 
  • Sourcing candidates: Using sourcing techniques on social media and professional websites to identify and contact potential candidates 
  • Conducting interviews: Planning and conducting interviews and screening calls 
  • Onboarding new employees: Managing the entire hiring process from start to finish 
  • Analyzing the recruitment process: Evaluating the success of each recruitment process and making changes to improve the process 
  • Collaborating with hiring managers: Working with hiring managers to set qualification criteria and present hiring plans 
  • Using applicant tracking systems: Using an applicant tracking system to assess candidate information, such as resumes and contact details 

Requirement

Recruitment consultants need a variety of skills and qualifications, including:


Communication

  • They should be able to communicate clearly and effectively in person, on the phone, and in writing. 


Sourcing

  • They should be able to search for candidates through a variety of sources, including resume databases, social media, and colleges.  


Time management

  • They should be able to multitask and manage their time well, as they often have multiple job openings at once. 


Relationship building

  • They should be able to build and maintain relationships with both clients and candidates. 


Confidence

  • They should be confident and able to think on their feet, especially when talking to strangers on the phone. 


Organizational skills

  • They should be able to prioritize tasks and manage their time effectively so they can fill positions on time. 

 

Experience with applicant tracking software

  • They should have experience using applicant tracking and recruitment marketing software. 


Education

  • They should have a bachelor's degree in human resources, marketing, or a related field. 


Customer service and sales skills

  • They should have customer service and sales skills. 


Knowledge of employer branding

  • They should be knowledgeable about employer branding techniques.
