Financial Information System (FIS) - Business Central (BC) and Loan Information System (LIS) Account Management System (AMS)
Description
- Recommend enhancements to existing AIS, specifically the Financial Information System (FIS) - Business Central (BC), and Loan Information System (LIS) Account Management System (AMS)
- Liaise with the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) regarding Computerized Accounting System (CAS) requirements and submit subsequent reporting requirements, if any
- Stay updated on BIR’s automation requirements and recommend continuous updates or alignment of the company’s AIS to comply with new regulations
- Prepare User Requirements Specifications (URS), Change Request documents, Test Scripts, System Service Requests (SSR), and other related documents required by ICTD for IT-related project documentation
- Conduct functional system testing or user acceptance testing (UAT) before deploying any system fixes or enhancements
- Coordinate with ICTD personnel (business analysts, program managers, etc.) or system vendors regarding system requirements, system testing, UAT, and system deployments related to accounting needs
- Work with accounting users to identify issues related to accounting reports and recommend necessary enhancements or fixes to the system
- Attend and represent the accounting division in meetings related to AIS
- Collaborate with Department Heads of the Accounting Division to update their respective Operations Manuals, if necessary, as a result of system enhancements
- Recommend automation of manually prepared accounting reports after evaluation and discussion with accounting users
Requirement
- Graduate of Accountancy
- Preferably a Certified Public Accountant with a background in external audit
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or a related field
- Has in-depth knowledge and understanding of accounting standards and practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other MS Office applications
- Has exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Has strong research, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven team player with a positive and cooperative attitude
- Able to work effectively under pressure and with minimal supervision
