Description

They are primarily responsible for ensuring all transactions are processed properly and managing the account receivable department staff.


The main duties and responsibilities of an Accounts Receivable Head include:

  • Overseeing routine department activities
  • Maintaining accurate and complete financial, employee, and client records
  • Processing adjustments to accounts as needed
  • Compiling, analyzing, and reporting financial information to management and government agencies
  • Setting and tracking department goals, policies, and procedures
  • Hiring, training, and managing Accounts Receivable staff members
  • Resolving conflicts and managing the collections process
  • Creating and implementing strategies to increase the number of successful collections on outstanding debt
  • Reconciling the accounts receivable ledger to ensure all payments are accounted for and correctly posted
  • Verifying totals and preparing reports

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree holder (Finance, accounting or other related course)
  • With at least 5 years accounting experience preferably with background on billing and collection
  • A confident, natural leader and problem solver with demonstrated critical thinking and collaboration skills.
  • Able to lead and manage a team.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Must be willing to be willing to work full onsite.
