• Supervise and lead a team of accounting staff, providing training, motivation, and ensuring adherence to high standards.
• Manage and oversee the entire accounting cycle, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
• Reconcile bank statements and ensure accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Oversee tax compliance and coordinate with external auditors.
• Manage and maintain internal controls to safeguard financial assets.
• Analyze financial data, generate reports, and provide insights to support informed business decisions.
• Manage and forecast budgets, monitor expenditures, and identify areas for cost savings.
• Stay up to date on accounting regulations and industry best practices within the wine industry (e.g., excise taxes, specific inventory valuation methods).
• Prepare and submit various reports to regulatory agencies as required.
• Liaise with other departments (sales, procurement, inventory) to ensure accurate financial records.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting management or supervision.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices, including GAAP.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CPA certification.
• Experience in the wine industry or a related field.
