Established in 1994, the SEDP–Simbag sa Pag-Asenso Inc. is a development-oriented institution run by the Diocese of Legazpi. Previously known as the Socio-Economic Development Program of the Social Action Center, Diocese of Legazpi, SEDP-Simbag sa Pag-Asenso Inc. spinned-off as a separate entity in 2004. At present, our main office is located at The Chancery, Cathedral Compound, Albay District, Legazpi City, Philippines We have thirty-four (34) satellite parish outreaches all over the province of Albay, in the neighboring provinces of the Bicol region, and in Samar Island in Visayas. Currently, we are serving almost 80,000 members mostly women and their families. Guided by our vision of empowering needy families, we provide both financial and non-financial services to our members to improve their socio-economic condition to become strong and self-sustaining centers in their communities. We also offer financial services to the employees of parishes, Church institutions and private businesses. We encourage savings mobilization for our members. Our members enjoy the benefits of Micro- insurance, multiple Value-Added Services such Educational Assistance, Health Services, Training and Spiritual formation. We facilitate our members’ access to Social Protection Services such as SSS and Insurance for those aged 65 years old and above. We also assist our members in product development and marketing.
