Description

• Assign appropriate codes for diagnoses, procedures, and services based on documentation.
• Ensure compliance with coding guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Review and analyze clinical data for accuracy in coding.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to clarify diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Prepare and submit claims to insurance providers to facilitate timely reimbursement.

Requirements

• Educational Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management or a related field
• Experience Level:2–5 years of medical coding experience
• Skills and Competencies:CPC Certification, CCS Certification, proficient in OP and IP coding, claims processing, ED and EM coding
• Responsibilities and Duties:Demonstrated ability in inpatient and outpatient coding processes
• Qualities and Traits:Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
• Working Conditions:Office environment with potential remote work options
