Medical Coder

Description

• Accurately assign codes to various medical diagnoses and procedures in compliance with insurance regulations.
• Review patient records and documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
• Collaborate with medical staff to clarify ambiguities in documentation.
• Stay updated on changes in coding guidelines and regulations.
• Assist in audits to ensure compliance and accuracy of coding practices.

Requirements

• Clinical Experience of 2 years
• Coding Experience: 1-2 years
• Must have USRN & PHRN and Active CPC/CCS Certificate
• Additional Skill: 1-2 years of Coding Experience
• Shift: 9am to 6Pm

Educational Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in health information management or related field.

Experience Level

• 1-3 years of experience in medical coding.

Skills and Competencies

• CPC certification is preferred; proficiency in coding software.

Qualities and Traits

• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills; excellent communication abilities.
