A maintenance technician's job is to keep machinery, equipment, and buildings in good working order. They work in a variety of settings, including residential and commercial buildings, and may perform a range of tasks, including: 

• Maintenance and repairs: Perform repairs, adjustments, and maintenance on equipment, systems, and buildings 
• Inspections: Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems for quality and stability 
• Maintenance planning: Create and execute maintenance budget plans, and schedule routine repairs 
• Documentation: Maintain inventory records and ensure documentation is up to date 
• Emergency response: Respond quickly to emergencies 
• Safety: Ensure machines are safe for employees to use 
• Customer service: Provide customer service by answering questions and addressing concerns 

Maintenance technicians may work with a variety of systems, including:

• Plumbing, Heating and cooling, Electrical, Security, Ventilation, and HVAC. 
• Maintenance technicians may be exposed to hot, moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, vibration, and electrical shock. They may also work in wet and humid conditions, and the noise level in their work environment is usually loud.

• High School Graduate
• Experience in maintenance of Industrial infrastructure
• Knowledgeable in plumbing work.
