Laundry Processing:

• Sort and categorize laundry by type (e.g., linens, towels, uniforms, etc.) and fabric to ensure appropriate washing methods are used.
• Load and operate washing machines and dryers following proper procedures for detergent, temperature, and cycle time.
• Monitor the washing and drying process to ensure efficiency and prevent damage to garments.
• Inspect and treat stains or heavily soiled laundry items before washing.
• Folding and Organizing:
• Fold, stack, and organize laundry items neatly according to established protocols.
• Ensure that clean laundry is sorted by size, type, and use to facilitate quick distribution or delivery.
• Iron or steam garments and linens, when necessary, to remove wrinkles or creases.

Inventory Management:

• Track and maintain inventory of laundry supplies (detergent, fabric softener, etc.) and report low stock levels to the supervisor.
• Ensure that laundry items are properly tagged or identified to prevent loss or confusion.

Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of laundry machines (washers, dryers, and irons) to ensure they are functioning properly.

Education:

Experience:

• Previous experience in laundry services or a related field (e.g., housekeeping, hotel services) is preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.

Attention to Detail:

• Ability to sort laundry accurately, identify stains, and ensure proper handling of different types of fabrics.
