- To assist dentist in clinical procedures
- To make patients as comfortable as possible within the clinic premises. To offer refreshments, magazines, movie or music selection while waiting in the room; to adjust the head support and inclination of the dental chair
- To familiarize and prepare the instruments/materials/equipment needed for every procedure, be it general procedures or surgeries
- Wash, pack, and perform the three-step sterilization process of the instruments
- Pack and sterilize drapes/towels needed in the surgery
- Take and organize the photos and radiographs
- Send the radiographs/photos to the patient’s email within 24 hours
- Lubricating the handpieces at the end of the day
- Organization of dental instruments and dental materials to its designated cabinet/drawers; to be done on a daily basis
- Refilling of stocks/consumables per room (bib, tissue, plastic cups, gloves, etc)
- Gearing up and down of rooms before and after each patients, respectively
- Inventory of supplies
- Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases
- Monitoring of equipment if due for maintenance check-up or repair
- To secure patient’s vital signs prior to surgery. To double check if clearances are secured and consent forms are signed
- To assist the surgeon during medical and dental emergencies
- Laboratory coordination and organization of dental cases
- Blood extraction for PRF
