Location: Local Hiring for Philippines Operations

Position: Legal Officer as Corporate Secretary


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor of Laws (LLB) major in Commercial Law with completed post-graduate studies.
  • Experience:
  1. Minimum of five (5) years of related professional experience.
  2. Proven experience in corporate secretarial work, demonstrated through relevant certificates and training in the field (preferred).
  3. Experience in government administration (advantageous).

Preferred Skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of Philippine corporate law, compliance, and business registration processes.
  • Strong understanding of government regulatory bodies (e.g., SEC, BIR, BPLO).
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail with the ability to draft, review, and manage legal documents.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet residency and citizenship requirements for the role of Corporate Secretary if appointed.
  • This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to establishing and operating a foreign-owned business in the Philippines.


Scope of Work

Successful applicants will assist in:


Business Registration & Compliance:

  1. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC): Handle name appeals, documentary requirements, TIN applications, stock registration, and compliance.
  2. BPLO: Secure barangay clearance, LGU permits, insurance, and mayor’s permit.
  3. BIR: Process receipts, books of accounts, tax compliance, and electronic filing.
  4. SSS, PhilHealth, Pag-IBIG: Ensure statutory registrations and activation.
  5. Banking: Open and manage business bank accounts and payroll systems.


Operational Setup:

  • Formulate contracts, agreements, and corporate governance documents.
  • Collaborate with local and government offices for required approvals.

 

Other Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate (or graduating) from one of the following universities:
  1. University of the Philippines (UP)
  2. Ateneo de Manila University (ADMU)
  3. De La Salle University (DLSU)
  4. University of Santo Tomas (UST)
  5. Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)
  6. National University, Philippines (NU)
