Description

As an Accounting Assistant, you will be responsible for conducting financial analysis, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing strategic financial advice to optimize company performance. You will also perform internal audits, assist with tax planning, and stay updated on accounting standards and tax regulations.


Responsibilities:

  • Assist with accounts payable tasks, including invoice verification, processing of payments and recording to appropriate accounts.
  • Assist in payroll processing tasks, such as checking of payroll reports and ensuring compliance with tax regulations
  • Reconcile bank statements and other financial accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in accounting software or spreadsheets.
  • Track and categorize expenses, process reimbursement requests, and maintain expense records.
  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team, including filing documents, responding to inquiries, and organizing financial records.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, or areas for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (BSA)
  • Previous experience in an accounting role or internship is a plus.
  • Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of payroll processing and tax regulations is desirable but not required.
