Bookkeeping

Description


Record and Maintain Financial Transactions

  • Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
  • Ensure all entries are accurate, complete, and comply with company policies and procedures.

Accounts Payable and Receivable

  • Process and monitor incoming invoices, ensuring timely payment to vendors.
  • Track and manage accounts receivable, including issuing invoices, following up on overdue accounts, and resolving discrepancies.

Bank Reconciliation

  • Reconcile bank statements with company accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy in financial records

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare financial statements and reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as needed.
  • Assist in preparing year-end financial reports and supporting documentation for audits.

Payroll Processing

  • Process employee payroll accurately and on time, ensuring compliance with relevant tax and labor laws.
  • Maintain records of employee earnings, deductions, and other payroll-related information.

Expense Tracking and Budgeting

  • Track and categorize expenses, helping to ensure the company remains within budget.
  • Identify potential areas for cost savings and assist in budget preparation.

Petty Cash Management

  • Maintain and reconcile petty cash funds, ensuring they are properly recorded and replenished as needed.

Compliance and Documentation

  • Maintain accurate records for tax purposes and ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations.
  • Organize and store all financial records securely, maintaining confidentiality at all times.

Requirements

  • Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Experience Level: Less than 1 year of relevant experience in finance or operations.
  • Skills and Competencies: Proficient in bookkeeping, attention to detail, and strong analytical skills.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Assist in financial reporting, maintain accurate records, and support day-to-day operations.
  • Working Conditions: Office environment, regular hours, with potential overtime during peak periods.
  • Qualities and Traits: Strong organizational skills, proactive attitude, and effective communication.


Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Strong understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
  • High level of integrity and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).


Working Conditions:

  • Full-time/Part-time (depending on the organization’s requirements).
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak periods (e.g., end-of-month or end-of-year).
