POMEC & Facilities Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversee daily operations of the resort’s engineering and maintenance department

• Manage preventive and corrective maintenance programs for all resort facilities and equipment

• Ensure efficient operation of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, water treatment, generators, fire safety, and mechanical systems

• Supervise and train engineering and maintenance staff

• Monitor energy consumption and implement cost-saving and sustainability initiatives

• Coordinate repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects

• Ensure compliance with local building codes, environmental regulations, and health & safety standards

• Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, public areas, back-of-house facilities, and equipment

• Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and service providers

• Prepare maintenance schedules, engineering reports, and departmental budgets

• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance situations and operational disruptions

• Support resort operations to ensure high levels of guest satisfaction and comfort

QUALIFICATION AND NEEDED WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field preferred

• Licensed Engineer is an advantage

• 5–10+ years of engineering or maintenance experience in hospitality, resorts, hotels, or property management

• Proven leadership and team management experience

• Strong technical knowledge of building systems and maintenance operations

• Familiarity with preventive maintenance systems and engineering software

• Knowledge of occupational safety standards and regulatory compliance

• Strong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Experience in resort or luxury hospitality operations

• Knowledge of energy management and sustainability practices

• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize urgent maintenance issues

• Experience handling large-scale facility repairs and renovations

• Strong vendor and contractor management skills
