Educational Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Licensed Electrical Engineer preferred or required depending on the role and country regulations

Licenses & Certifications

• Professional Electrical Engineer license or Registered Electrical Engineer license (if applicable)
• Safety certifications such as BOSH, OSHA, or NFPA training are an advantage
• Additional certifications in PLC, automation, or project management are beneficial

Experience

• 1–5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, industrial projects, construction, manufacturing,or maintenance

• Experience in industrial plants, commercial buildings, power systems, or project sites preferred

Technical Skills

• Can design, analyze, and troubleshoot electrical systems

• Able to read and prepare:

o Electrical plans

o Single-line diagrams

o Schematics

o Load schedules

• Knowledgeable in power distribution systems

• Familiar with motor controls, PLCs, VFDs, and automation systems

• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance planning

• Able to conduct electrical inspections and testing

• Familiar with electrical codes and standards

Project & Supervisory Skills

• Can supervise electricians, contractors, and technical teams to prepare reports, estimates, and project documentation
• Knowledgeable in project scheduling and coordination
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills

Safety & Compliance

• Familiar with lockout/tagout (LOTO) and electrical safety procedures

• Knowledgeable in regulatory compliance and permit systems

• Can implement workplace safety standards

Physical & Work Requirements

• Willing to work on-site, in plants, or project locations

• Can work under pressure and meet deadlines

• Willing to render overtime or travel if needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation or power systems

• Experience in commissioning and start-up activities

• Knowledge of renewable energy systems

• Leadership and team management experience

• Strong communication and coordination skills
