AP Team Lead

Job description:

The AP Team Lead oversees daily operations of the AP function, ensuring service levels, accuracy, and compliance while guiding and supporting the team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily AP activities including invoice processing and payments.
• Review and approve transactions and payment batches.
• Monitor KPIs, turnaround times, and accuracy levels.
• Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Handle escalations and complex vendor issues.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies.
• Support process improvements and system enhancements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3–5 years of AP experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior role.
• Strong knowledge of AP workflows, controls, and reporting.
• Experience in shared services or BPO is an advantage.
• Leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
