Job Description

A warehouse manager oversees all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, order fulfillment, logistics coordination, and staff supervision.


Key Responsibilities

A warehouse manager is responsible for planning, organizing, and supervising warehouse operations to ensure efficiency and accuracy. Core duties include:

  • Receiving and storage: Managing incoming goods, verifying shipments, and ensuring proper storage conditions.
  • Inventory management: Monitoring stock levels, conducting regular counts, reconciling discrepancies, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Order fulfillment and distribution: Coordinating picking, packing, and shipping to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Staff supervision: Leading warehouse teams, assigning tasks, providing training, and evaluating performance.
  • Operational reporting: Preparing reports on warehouse performance, KPIs, and compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Process improvement: Implementing best practices, optimizing workflows, and utilizing technology such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP modules to enhance efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Education: Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Warehouse Management, Logistics, or related fields is preferred. 
  • Experience: Typically 5–10 years in warehouse or logistics management, with managerial experience in inventory control, distribution, and supply chain operations. 
  • Technical skills: Knowledge of warehouse operations, inventory systems, safety regulations, and logistics coordination. Familiarity with 3PL operations and e-commerce fulfillment is advantageous. 
  • Leadership abilities: Strong organizational, planning, and delegation skills to manage teams and ensure smooth operations.
