Description

A utility worker is a maintenance specialist who is in charge of cleaning and other general tasks on structures and facilities. Their duties include inspecting finished tasks, repairing malfunctioning equipment, maintaining firm premises, and adhering to state health and safety regulations.


Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Execute standard maintenance jobs, such as inspecting, repairing, and cleaning equipment.
  • Operate and maintain utility systems such as heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems
  • Assist in the installation of utility systems and equipment
  • Monitor equipment and systems to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Identify and report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors
  • Adhere to safety procedures and policies to ensure a safe work environment
  • Assist in the preparation and completion of work orders
  • Operate a variety of tools and equipment, including power tools
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning, sanitizing, and minor repairs.
  • Comply with all safety and health regulations.
  • Report any unsafe conditions or faulty equipment to the supervisor.
  • Follow the policies and procedures of the company at all times.

Requirement

  • Must be a high school graduate or have taken a vocational course related to this field.
  • At least 1 year experience or relevant
  • Knowledge of cleaning equipment and techniques.
  • Basic mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to read and interpret written work orders.
