General Cleaning

Description

  1. Cleaning and Maintenance:
  • Perform routine cleaning tasks in guest rooms, lobbies, restrooms, and other public areas.
  • Dust, vacuum, mop, and polish surfaces to ensure a clean environment.
  1. Room Preparation:
  • Prepare and arrange guest rooms before arrival, ensuring all amenities are stocked and in good condition.
  • Change bed linens, towels, and toiletries as required.
  1. Inventory Management:
  • Monitor and report inventory levels of cleaning supplies and linen.
  • Assist in restocking supplies as needed.
  1. Health and Safety Compliance:
  • Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure a safe environment for guests and staff.
  • Properly handle and store cleaning products to prevent accidents.
  1. Guest Interaction:
  • Respond to guest requests and concerns in a courteous manner.
  • Report maintenance issues or guest feedback to supervisors.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other housekeeping staff and management to maintain cleanliness standards.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.

Requirement

  1. Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; vocational courses in hospitality or related fields can be advantageous.
  1. Experience:
  • Previous experience in housekeeping or cleaning services is often preferred, but entry-level positions may be available for those without prior experience.
  1. Skills:
  • Attention to detail: Ability to spot cleanliness and organization issues.
  • Time management: Efficiently manage time to complete tasks.
  • Communication: Basic communication skills for interactions with guests and team members.
  • Physical stamina: Capability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products and techniques: Familiarity with different cleaning chemicals and their proper use.
  1. Certifications:
  • Certification in housekeeping or cleaning services can enhance job prospects (optional but beneficial).
