Automotive Restoration Technician (Vintage Cars)

Job Description
- Carry out body restoration on vintage and classic vehicles, including:
- Metal shaping, rust repairs, welding, and panel fabrication.
- Body alignment, panel fitting, and finishing to original specifications.
- Preparing surfaces for paint, including sanding and priming.
- Collaborate with painters, trimmers, and mechanics to achieve complete restorations.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and uphold workshop quality standards.
- Care for and respect historically significant vehicles.
- Trade qualification in Automotive Body Repair / Panel Beating (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in classic or vintage vehicle restoration (bodywork focus essential).
- Strong welding, fabrication, and metal finishing skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and restoration plans.
- High attention to detail, craftsmanship, and pride in quality workmanship.
- Passion for vintage/classic cars and automotive heritage.
