Description

A Travel Consultant is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with clients to ensure that travel arrangements and travel-related services required by clients are provided professionally and efficiently within the parameters of client policies and objectives, company policies, contracts and service level agreements (SLA), and government regulations.


  • Determine travel and travel-related requirements of clients; including length of stay, hotel, registration, tours, meals, transfer arrangements, and transit time, and provide choices according to the parameters set by clients.
  • Research on various destinations and means of travel about prices, travel restrictions, and visa requirements.
  • Arrange fare quotations, booking tickets, hotel accommodation, car rentals, and travel insurance for domestic and international trips.
  • Book air travel, hotel accommodation, and car rental in both GDS and non-GDS facilities.
  • Handle visa inquiries in coordination with the Documentation Department.
  • Issue tickets for domestic and international flights after information input into TAIS. 
  • Inform clients about relevant travel information such as flight changes and provide alternatives. 
  • Perform tasks necessary to process and ensure timely refund, rebooking, and re issuance delivery. 
  • Maintain current knowledge of the state of travel industries and provide clients with general travel advice and required relevant industry information. 
  • Offer other value-added services such as travel insurance or transfers. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in tourism, travel, hospitality, business or related field
  • With working knowledge as a travel agent/advisor/consultant handling domestic and international trip destinations
  • In-depth understanding of GDS (Amadeus, Galileo, and Sabre)
  • Excellent verbal and written (English) communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage time, prioritize tasks, and negotiate effectively
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
