- Surface Preparation: Clean, level, and waterproof substrates; remove old tiles, adhesives, or debris to create a suitable base for new tiles
- Layout and Design: Interpret blueprints and project specifications, measure and mark surfaces, and plan tile patterns to ensure symmetry and minimize waste
- Tile Cutting and Installation: Cut tiles to fit corners, edges, and obstacles using hand or power tools; apply adhesives such as mortar, mastic, or cement; set tiles in position and ensure proper alignment
- Grouting and Sealing: Apply grout between tiles, clean excess, and seal tiles when required to prevent moisture penetration
- Quality Control: Inspect joints, spacing, and flatness; correct any misalignment or lippage to maintain structural integrity and visual appeal
- Maintenance and Repairs: Replace cracked or loose tiles and troubleshoot adhesion or movement issues
- Client Interaction: Meet with clients to discuss tiling needs, provide quotes, and ensure satisfaction with the finished work
