Description
- Install and maintain outside plant (OSP) infrastructure, including fiber optic and copper networks.
- Conduct field surveys to assess installation conditions and plan routing.
- Perform splicing and termination of fiber optic cables.
- Assist in troubleshooting and repair of OSP facilities.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of a telecommunications or related technical program is preferred.
- Relevant experience in OSP installations, maintenance, and repairs.
- Knowledge of OSP construction practices and standards.
- Familiarity with OSP tools and equipment, such as fiber splicers, cable testers, and excavation tools.
- Ability to read and interpret OSP drawings, schematics, and construction plans.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Physical ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment
- Must have a valid Driver’s License and can drive a 4-wheel vehicle
