Description

The Selling Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of a designated store department, section, or category. The primary focus is on achieving sales and profitability targets by implementing effective sales strategies, managing operations, and leading a high-performance team. This role involves market analysis, inventory management, and ensuring exceptional customer service.


  • Sales and Profitability Management

o Develop and implement sales plans and strategies to meet department sales and profitability goals.

o Monitor and analyze sales performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement, making data-driven decisions to optimize outcomes.

o Oversee inventory management, pricing, and product placement to maximize sales potential.

o Ensure adherence to store policies, procedures, and merchandising standards to maintain operational efficiency.

  • Customer Service Excellence

o Foster a customer-centric culture within the department, ensuring that team members prioritize customer satisfaction.

o Resolve customer complaints and inquiries promptly and professionally, ensuring a positive shopping experience.

o Identify customer needs and preferences, using insights to improve service delivery and enhance the overall shopping experience.

  • Team Leadership and Development

o Provide leadership, guidance, and motivation to the sales team, ensuring they are well-trained to meet sales and service expectations.

o Conduct ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring to improve team performance and ensure alignment with department objectives.

o Cultivate a positive, supportive work environment that encourages teamwork, collaboration, and high performance.

  • Market Research and Analysis

o Conduct regular market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive threats in the industry.

o Develop and execute strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and mitigate competitive risks.

  • Administrative and Reporting Tasks

o Prepare and submit reports related to sales performance, inventory management, price events, and other relevant selling operations.

o Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

o Manage department budgets and expenses to optimize resource allocation and profitability.

o Execute inventory processes during physical counts, including preparing inventory count sheets and drafting requests for adjustments.

Minimum Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree preferably in Management or any other related field

Minimum Job Experience:

  • 1 year minimum related work experience.
