Implement and enforce workplace safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal safety regulations.
Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of the work environment, machinery, and equipment to identify potential hazards.
Monitor the implementation of corrective actions and safety improvements based on audit findings and incident reports.
Provide training to employees on safety protocols, emergency procedures, proper equipment usage, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate workplace accidents, near misses, and incidents to determine causes and recommend solutions to prevent future occurrences.
Ensure that all safety-related documentation, such as incident reports, safety logs, and regulatory compliance records, are properly maintained.
Organize and facilitate safety drills, including fire drills, evacuation procedures, and first aid training.
Advise management on the development and implementation of safety plans, risk assessments, and policies.
Promote a safety-conscious culture throughout the company, encouraging employees to follow safety guidelines and report hazards.
Stay updated on relevant health and safety legislation and industry best practices.
Assist with the preparation for external audits and regulatory inspections.
Respond to emergency situations and act as a first responder when necessary.

Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a health and safety role
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to educate and influence others on safety practices.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify safety hazards and recommend effective solutions.
Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
