Description

The Sales Associate is responsible for providing exceptional customer service, driving sales, and ensuring a pleasant shopping experience for customers. This role involves assisting customers in selecting and purchasing power tools, hand tools, electrical tools, plumbing supplies, and other related products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers warmly and provide assistance as needed.
  • Answer customer inquiries about products, availability, and pricing.
  • Provide product demonstrations and recommendations based on customer needs.
  • Sales:
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs set by the Store Manager.
  • Upsell and cross-sell products to enhance the customer’s shopping experience.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
  • Product Knowledge:
  • Maintain thorough knowledge of all products, including features, benefits, and usage.
  • Stay updated on new product releases and industry trends.
  • Provide accurate information to customers about product warranties and return policies.
  • Inventory Management:
  • Assist in receiving, stocking, and organizing merchandise.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks and report discrepancies to the Store Manager.
  • Ensure that shelves are well-stocked and products are displayed neatly and attractively.
  • Store Maintenance:
  • Keep the store clean, organized, and safe for customers and staff.
  • Assist in setting up promotional displays and signage.
  • Report any maintenance or safety issues to the Store Manager promptly.
  • Team Collaboration:
  • Work closely with other team members to achieve store goals.
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions.
  • Support new team members through training and mentorship.

Requirement

  • At least 2 years in college or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or sales experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Basic knowledge of power tools, hand tools, electrical tools, and plumbing supplies.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using POS systems and basic computer applications.
  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
