Description

Establish, develop, and manage the smooth operation of the Library. Create, promote and evaluate effective learning resource and information service which supports learning and teaching across the college and enhances the delivery of the school’s educational programs.


  • Organizing and managing the Library, ensuring its effective use by classes, groups and individuals.
  • Creating and implementing a policy for the Library which incorporates the educational aims and objectives of the college, and complies with data protection, copyright, and the school's disciplinary code.
  • Selecting, acquiring, organizing and promoting Library resources and ICT to support teaching and learning throughout the school.
  • Ensuring equality of access for all students and staff to high quality learning resources.
  • Monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of the service provided by the Library and its impact on teaching and learning.
  • Supervising students using the Library for independent study and maintaining a welcoming, supportive atmosphere conducive to positive learning experiences.
  • Keep and file historical records and documents relating to the existence of the Library.
  • Protect and keep the library’s information, books, and other materials
  • Performs a wide variety of assignments which may be confidential in nature; operates personal computer to compose, edit, revise, tabulate, and print letters, tables, reports, and other materials.
  • Performs a range of staff and/or operational support activities; may serve as a liaison with other departments on basic administrative and/or operational matters.
  • Establishes, maintains, processes, and updates library holdings, files, records, certificates, and/or other documents.
  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
  • Skill in examining and improving operations and procedures, formulating policy, and developing and implementing new strategies and methods.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Library Science (preferably with license)
  • Knowledgeable in Catalogue, DDC & Library system
  • Pleasing Personality
  • Educational Qualifications: Master's degree or higher in a relevant field is required.
  • Experience Level: At least 3-5 years of professional experience in a consultancy or related role.
  • Skills and Competencies: Excellent analytical, strategical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong communication and presentation skills. Proficient in relevant software and technology.
  • Responsibilities and Duties: Provide expert advice, analyze complex problems, propose solutions, and support implementation. Conduct research and data analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Working Conditions: Professional office setting, with occasional travel for client meetings. Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Qualities and Traits: Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and with a strong ethic for confidentiality. Adaptable and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
