Description

Position Overview: The Radiologic Technologist at San Pablo Colleges Medical Center is responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations using X-rays, CT scans, and other radiologic modalities. The technologist ensures the highest standards of patient care, safety, and comfort while producing high-quality diagnostic images for accurate diagnosis and treatment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform radiologic examinations including X-rays, CT scans, and other imaging procedures as required.
  • Ensure proper patient positioning and radiation protection measures to obtain optimal images.
  • Operate and maintain radiologic equipment, ensuring it is in proper working condition.
  • Prepare and administer contrast media or other medications as required for specific imaging procedures.
  • Follow established protocols and guidelines to ensure consistent image quality and patient safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of imaging procedures, patient information, and equipment maintenance.
  • Collaborate with radiologists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to interpret and report imaging results.
  • Provide clear instructions and explanations to patients regarding procedures and address any concerns they may have.
  • Adhere to all regulatory standards and hospital policies regarding radiologic practices and patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with advancements in radiologic technology and techniques.

Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology
  • Registration with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • Proven experience as a Radiologic Technologist, preferably in a hospital or clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in operating radiologic equipment and understanding of radiographic techniques and procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of radiation safety protocols and practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Commitment to patient care, safety, and confidentiality.
