Description

The Registered Pharmacists shall perform the following duties and responsibilities: 


  1. Accurately dispense prescription medications to patients based on physician orders.
  2. Review prescriptions for potential drug interactions, allergies, or contraindications.
  3. Counsel patients on the proper use, side effects, and storage of medications.
  4. Manage inventory, including monitoring stock levels, ordering medications, and removing expired or recalled drugs.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare providers, including physicians and nurses, to develop patient-specific medication plans.
  6. Participate in patient care rounds and provide expert advice on pharmaceutical therapies.
  7. Monitor patient responses to medications and adjust therapies as needed under the supervision of a physician.
  8. Ensure adherence to local and national pharmacy laws, regulations, and hospital policies.
  9. Maintain accurate records of controlled substances and narcotics to comply with regulatory requirements.
  10. Implement and oversee protocols for proper medication storage, handling, and disposal.
  11. Provide patient education regarding medications, including the importance of adherence to prescribed treatments.
  12. Identify and report adverse drug reactions and medication errors to ensure patient safety.
  13. Develop educational materials and programs to improve patient understanding of medication therapies.
  14. Supervise pharmacy assistants and other support staff, ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy department.
  15. Implement best practices to improve efficiency and the quality of service.
  16. Oversee the preparation and compounding of medications, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  17. Be updated with the latest advancements in pharmacology, healthcare regulations, and drug therapies.
  18. Attend seminars, workshops, meetings, and other professional development opportunities to enhance expertise.
  19. Engage in quality improvement initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and service delivery.
  20. Additional duties and tasks from the executive and managerial teams. 

Requirement

  • Licensed and Registered Pharmacist in the Philippines (PRC License required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy
  • No experience or with experience
  • Strong knowledge of pharmaceuticals, including drug interactions and contraindications
  • Excellent communication skills for both patient consultation and healthcare collaboration
  • Attention to detail and ability to maintain precise records
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented environment
  • Full-time position; willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, if needed


Preferred Skills:

  • May have knowledge of hospital pharmacy systems and medication safety protocols.
  • Familiarity with regulatory compliance and quality control processes
