Job Description

In-depth knowledge of Philippine laws and regulations with a strong understanding of international legal principles. Proven ability to handle complex legal matters and lead high-stakes negotiations. Excellent analytical drafting and communication skills. Strong leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and supervising legal teams. High level of integrity discretion and attention to detail.

Description

1. Legal Advisory:

  • Provide expert legal advice on a broad range of complex legal issues, including corporate governance, regulatory compliance, and risk management.
  • Lead the drafting and negotiation of high-value contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.


2. Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Oversee the development and implementation of compliance programs and policies.
  • Conduct comprehensive legal analyses to identify and mitigate legal risks.
  • Ensure the organization adheres to all relevant local, national, and international laws and regulations.


3. Dispute Resolution:

  • Manage complex legal disputes and litigation, including strategy development and coordination with external legal counsel.
  • Represent the organization in legal proceedings, negotiations, and arbitration.


4. Policy Development and Implementation:

  • Develop, review, and update company policies and procedures to ensure they comply with current laws and best practices.
  • Provide strategic guidance on policy issues and recommend improvements to enhance legal compliance.


5. Contract Management:

  • Oversee the review, drafting, and negotiation of key contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor and ensure the effective performance and compliance of contractual obligations.

 

6. Legal Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct detailed legal research on complex issues and prepare comprehensive reports and recommendations.
  • Stay informed on legal trends, changes in legislation, and industry developments.


7. Stakeholder Management:

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders, including senior management and department heads, to address legal issues and provide guidance.
  • Manage relationships with external legal advisors, regulators, and other key stakeholders.

Requirement

Education: Bachelor’s degree in law (Juris Doctor or equivalent); admission to the Philippine Bar is required.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive legal experience, with at least 2 years in a senior legal role.
