Certified Public Accountant

Description

A. Bookkeeping


  • Records all accounting transactions in the registered books of accounts (XERO, Quickbooks) or manual books) based on supporting documents.
  • Prepares monthly accounting schedules based on accounting records, such as lapsing schedules for fixed assets, receivables, prepayments, advances, accounts payables, and accrued expenses.
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements and other required general ledger/subsidiary ledger accounts.
  • Prepares monthly trial balances, balance sheets, and income statements.

B. Cash Management


  • Prepares the check vouchers and the corresponding accounting entries based on invoices approved by the company for payment;
  • Prepares the manual checks together with the check vouchers and supporting documents for review and approval of the duly appointed and authorized bank signatories;
  • Input the same in the bank’s payment module system and request authorized bank signatories to approve the payments/disbursements for online payment; and
  • Prepares monthly bank reconciliation statements/client fund reconciliation

C. Payroll Preparation


  • Compute employee’s salaries and other earnings, including mandated and agreed deductions paid twice/once a month;
  • Computes and withholds employee’s income taxes and premium contributions for Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth), Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) and remit these taxes to the BIR and premiums (along with employer’s contributions) to SSS, PhilHealth, and HDMF, respectively;
  • Sends online or sealed payslips to designated officer for distribution;
  • Prepares bank advice for deposit of net pay to the employee’s account;
  • Prepares and files monthly remittance return of income taxes withheld
  • Prepares and files monthly remittance forms for loan amortizations to SSS and HDMF, if any; Processes 13th/14th month pay and other bonuses;
  • Prepares and files Annual Information Return of Income Taxes Withheld on Compensation (BIR Form 1604-CF) and the Alphabetical List of Employees from whom taxes have been withheld;
  • Issues Certificate of Compensation Payment/Tax Withheld (BIR Form 2316) to all employees; Computes final pay of resigned employees; Prepares and issues certificate of employments and certifications for SSS, PHIC and HDMF contributions to employees;
  • Prepares and submits payroll reports and other related payroll schedules to the authorized client personnel through email for review and approval; and Prepares corresponding payroll journal entries.

D. Tax Returns Preparation


  • Prepares and files monthly withholding tax returns for expanded and final withholding taxes (BIR Form 1601-E and 1601-F) and the monthly alphalist of payees;
  • Prepares and issues quarterly certificate of creditable tax withheld at source (BIR Form 2307) to client’s suppliers subject to expanded withholding taxes;
  • Prepares and files monthly VAT (BIR Form 2550M) declaration and quarterly VAT return (BIR Form 2550Q) including quarterly summary of sales and purchases and transmittal for summary of sales/purchases submitted in diskette form, if applicable;
  • Prepares and files quarterly fringe benefit tax returns ( BIR Form 1603); Prepares and files quarterly corporate income tax returns (BIR Form 1702Q);
  • Prepares and files annual information of expanded/final income taxes withheld/income payments exempt from withholding taxes (BIR Form 1604-E) together with an alphabetical list of payees from whom taxes were withheld/exempt from withholding;
  • Prepares and files annual corporate income tax return (BIR Form 1702); and Prepares other tax returns (i.e. documentary stamp taxes, withholding VAT, etc.).

Requirement

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any similar course
  • At least 3 years relevant working experience in tax preparations, accounting, audit, bookkeeping, payroll, and/ or preparation of statutory financial statements is a big plus
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Working knowledge with accounting applications such as XERO or Quickbooks Online would be advantageous
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills
  • Certified Public Accountant is preferred
  • Supervisory role is a plus
  • Willing to start ASAP
  • Fresh Graduates that have passed the CPA board exam are encouraged to apply
