Description:

• Designs, analyzes, and inspects structures like buildings and bridges to ensure they are safe, stable, and comply with building codes.
• Create technical plans, calculate load-bearing capacities, select materials, and collaborate with architects and contractors to oversee construction projects from inception to completion.
• Create 2D/3D structural models and designs using software like AutoCAD or Revit, and calculate, loads, stresses, and material strengths.
• Inspect construction sites to ensure compliance with design specifications, building codes, and safety standards.
• Work with architects, surveyors, and other engineers to develop plans and resolve design, material, or construction challenges.
• Prepare technical reports, blueprints, and cost estimates for projects.
• Assess existing buildings for structural integrity, repairs, or retrofitting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field
• 1-3 years of experience in structural engineering
• Proficiency in structural analysis software
• Strong problem-solving skills
