MASTER CABINET MAKER / MODULAR CABINET SPECIALIST

Position Summary
The Master Cabinet Maker is responsible for the fabrication, assembly, installation, and quality control of high-end modular cabinets, custom furniture, wall paneling, and architectural millwork. The position requires advanced woodworking skills, the ability to interpret shop drawings, prepare cutting lists, optimize material usage, and execute modern design details including curved elements, fluted panels, hidden systems, and premium finishes.This role is expected to lead the fabrication team, maintain production standards, and ensure all cabinetry is manufactured accurately, efficiently, and according to approved drawings.
Key Responsibilities
1. Cabinet Fabrication
- Fabricate modular cabinets, wardrobes, vanities, kitchen cabinets, display units, and custom furniture.
- Execute precise cutting, assembly, edge banding, drilling, routing, and installation.
- Ensure all fabricated items comply with approved shop drawings and dimensions.
- Perform dry fitting and quality checks before delivery.
2. Cutting List Preparation
- Prepare complete cutting lists based on approved shop drawings.
- Calculate board requirements and optimize material usage.
- Minimize material wastage through efficient nesting and planning.
- Verify dimensions before fabrication begins.
- Coordinate cutting schedules with project requirements.
3. Advanced Woodworking & Modern Design Execution
- Fabricate modern curved cabinets and custom curved furniture.
- Perform kerf bending techniques for curved panels and architectural features.
- Produce radius corners, curved wall panels, and specialty joinery.
- Execute fluted panels, tambour doors, hidden handles, shadow gaps, and modern minimalist detailing.
- Work with laminated boards, marine plywood, MDF, HMR boards, acrylic finishes, compact laminates, and premium cabinet materials.
4. Shop Drawing Interpretation
- Read and interpret:
- Architectural drawings
- Interior design drawings
- Shop drawings
- Cabinet details
- Section drawings
- Identify potential fabrication issues before production.
- Coordinate with designers and engineers regarding technical concerns.
5. Installation Works
- Lead installation of modular cabinetry on-site.
- Ensure proper leveling, alignment, and fit.
- Coordinate with site teams regarding installation schedules.
- Resolve site conditions and field adjustments when necessary.
6. Quality Control
- Inspect all finished products before delivery.
- Ensure clean workmanship and professional finishing.
- Verify dimensions, hardware installation, and functionality.
- Maintain high standards suitable for premium residential and commercial projects.
7. Team Leadership
- Supervise cabinet fabricators, carpenters, and helpers.
- Assign daily production targets.
- Train junior cabinet makers.
- Ensure workshop safety and organization.

Qualifications
Experience
- Minimum 8 years experience in cabinet making.
- Minimum 3 years experience as lead cabinet maker or workshop supervisor.
- Strong background in custom modular cabinetry.
- Experience in luxury residential, commercial, and office fit-out projects preferred.
Education
- Technical vocational training in woodworking, carpentry, furniture making, or equivalent practical experience.
