NOTE: This position will be on a hybrid setup and may require you to travel to FPIP from time to time. (A shuttle from Ortigas to Batangas and vice versa is provided)

First Philippine Industrial Park is looking for a Business Development Specialist who will be responsible for the analysis of macro and micro economics data, market trends, and customer pain points, needs, and feedback; market scanning and research; and conducting pre-feasibility and feasibility studies on potential industrial business development projects, including potential site assessment and planning.

Together with the Head or Business Development Officers/Managers, the Analyst will develop the business model, and present the studies for the approval of top management. With directions and guidance from other team members, the Analysts will execute the approved projects and ensure that they are completed on time and within the approved budget. Guided by the business model, he or she will prepare the new business unit for operations and management, and monitor its performance

What you'll be doing:

Market Research and Customer Sensing

• Identifies and recommends opportunities based on reading of market trends and analysis of internal and external research
• Helps refine the business concept by identifying opportunities and gaps based on market research and client/locator data.
• Collaborates with the Market Research Team in the conduct of research
• Networks with key external contacts and locators (if needed) for leads for properties and possible service opportunities.
• Participates in networking activities be it driven by FPIP management or external entities, as a form of information gathering and external relationship building.

Business Development

• Proposes possible solutions in the form or new products or services to address the needs and pain points of current and future customers.
• Develops the pre-feasibility and feasibility studies for selected and prioritized projects, together with the team.
• With inputs from various data sources, including major assumptions from management, develop the financial model of the project and present results and insights to top management
• Conduct different types of analysis, quantitative or qualitative, to arrive at an appropriate technical and commercial recommendation.
• With supervision from BD Officers/Manager, analyzes project risks and determines legal and regulatory requirements of the project as well as organizational and marketing requirements.
• Together with the Head or BD Officers/Managers, prepare and deliver presentations of studies for approval
• Provides inputs on the design of the business and operational process for new business units.
• For existing businesses/products/services, analyzes operations and identifies opportunities for optimization, efficiency leading to savings and increasing potential for revenues

Project Management

• With directions from the Head or BD Officers and Manager, execute approved projects together with internal (Support and other BUs) and external partners/stakeholders (LGUs or partner companies) using end-to-end project management (including administration duties) or an Agile approach
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and observes risk mitigation for identified risks while implementing the project.
• Together with the team, conducts lessons learned sessions and review internal processes, and develop action plans for improvement.  

What we're looking for:

• Must be a graduate of any of the following courses: Bachelor's degree in Business Management/Administration, Economics, Finance, or Engineering courses
• Two years of minimum experience in Finance
• Must have working experience in business development and project management
• Knowledge and skill in financial modeling, a plus.
• Knowledgeable in the preparation of financial projections
• Must have negotiation, networking, and management skills
• Proficient in MS Office
