As a Business Development Executive (BDE), you will play a pivotal role in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through various channels, including cold calling, emailing, and networking. Your primary responsibilities will include qualifying leads, scheduling meetings, and building strong relationships with both potential and existing clients to foster long-term business growth.
A crucial aspect of this position involves planning and attending events that can generate leads and expand our professional network. You will collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure alignment on target markets and strategies, working together to develop effective presentations that highlight our solutions. Following these presentations, you will take the lead in closing sales by negotiating terms and finalizing agreements with clients.
Additionally, you will conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor activities, maintaining accurate records in our CRM system. Your goal will be to consistently meet or exceed lead generation and sales targets.
In this role, you will also provide valuable feedback to improve our products and services, contributing to our overall business strategy. Continuous professional development is essential, and you will participate in ongoing training to enhance your sales skills and product knowledge, ensuring that you are well-equipped to succeed in a competitive market.
● Research and identify potential customers through various channels such as social media, industry events, and networking.
● Perform outbound sales activities, including prospecting and account profiling, to generate new business opportunities within client and target accounts.
● Nurture existing leads through ongoing phone and email communications.
● Work directly with the sales and business development teams to research and prioritize target account lists.
● Provide excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience for potential clients.
● Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to develop effective lead-generation strategies.
● Develop and execute strategies to retain existing clients.
● Follow up consistently to keep potential leads engaged and move them through the sales funnel.
● Deliver compelling presentations and product demonstrations to prospective clients, highlighting features and benefits.
● Close sales effectively and negotiate terms and finalize sales agreements to secure commitments from clients.
● Explore growth areas with existing clients to identify additional needs and areas of opportunity for sales.
● Develop and implement strategies for growth based on financial gain and existing customer satisfaction.
● Seek out ways to improve customer retention and improve opportunities for recurring sales at the end of the sales funnel.
● Provide after-sales support to existing customers and build long-term relationships with existing customers.
● Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
● Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
● Goal-oriented, result-oriented, and good time management and organization.
● Good team player and able to work independently and under pressure.
● Socially adept with the ability to build rapport and have a knack for client management.
● Top-notch customer support skills, and a patient disposition.
● Possess an attitude to self-learn and seek self-improvement.
● Experience working in Sales will be an advantage.
● Keen interest in research. Strong market knowledge will be a plus.
● Proven experience in a web development and digital marketing agency will be a plus.
