Description

I.      Job Summary

The Accounting Analyst will be responsible for performing/assisting in the performance of general accounting functions for the Project entities and preparing the tax returns and other reportorial requirements of internal and external stakeholders. The position will also require travel to the plant site at least once every two months or as necessary.

 

II.    Job Dimensions

Supervision Received:

Will be reporting directly to the Accounting Supervisor but will also have a matrix reporting to the Accounting Manager as required.


III.   Job Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing the monthly ledger close of the Project entities and in maintaining subsidiary ledgers for certain accounts of the Project entities as may be assigned.
  • Responsible for preparing the periodic tax returns of the Project entities required by the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR); updating the BIR tax relief system; and preparing the certificates of withholding taxes.
  • Responsible for preparing the financial, budgetary and other reports required by internal and external stakeholders including the shareholders, financial institutions, and regulatory agencies such as, but not limited to, the BIR, Board of Investments (BOI), Department of Energy, Energy Regulatory Commission and the Securities and Exchange Commission. These include monthly financial statements, application for tax holiday incentives with the BOI; and updating forecast and reforecast templates, among others.
  • Responsible for performing monthly bank reconciliation and other analyses that may be required for accounting adjustments.
  • Assist in the monitoring of actual performance against budget.
  • Take the lead in the systematic filing of reports/documents for easy tracking and retrieval.
  • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Company’s management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field. Certificate/License: None required but CPA preferable
  • 2-4 years of experience in accounting or financial analysis
  • Attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong mathematical and statistical skills for financial analysis
  • Proficiency in ERP Systems (e.g. SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • ·Experience in budget preparation and financial forecasting
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, especially during month-end or year-end close processes
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively across departments
