A Proof of Delivery (POD) Clerk processes, verifies, and digitally logs delivery documents to ensure shipments reach customers successfully. They play a vital administrative role in the logistics and supply chain by preventing billing delays and resolving delivery discrepancies.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Document Processing: Collect, sort, and match delivery receipts, trip sheets, and waybills with outgoing orders.
- Data Entry: Encode POD data into tracking systems, update delivery statuses, and prepare documents for scanning and archiving.
- Dispute Resolution: Follow up on missing PODs with drivers, sub-couriers, or clients to resolve delivery discrepancies or shortages.
- Filing & Maintenance: Safekeep hard-copy and digital records so they are immediately retrievable for audits and customer inquiries.
