We are looking for someone who is:
- Senior, credible, and highly competent
- Strongly experienced in QuickBooks Advanced
- Hands-on and willing to personally execute the work where needed
- Able to combine technical finance capability with commercial judgment
- Strong in forecasting, reporting, controls, and finance process improvement
- Comfortable working across multiple entities
- Experienced in dealing with external stakeholders including auditors, banks, financial institutions, and company secretary
- Disciplined, accountable, and effective in a remote working environment
- Able to guide the team and improve output, productivity, and accuracy
- Willing to understand the requirements of Singapore and Malaysia, where relevant
Key Responsibilities
1) Finance Operations and Oversight
- Oversee and manage finance and accounting work across multiple entities
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and discipline in the finance function
- Review management accounts and ensure financial information is reliable and useful
- Support day-to-day finance execution while also improving the overall structure of the function
2) QuickBooks Advanced Optimization
- Fully utilize QuickBooks Advanced to improve reporting, controls, visibility, and finance workflow efficiency
- Strengthen the use of the system beyond basic bookkeeping and reporting
- Improve finance processes through better system usage and practical workflow design
- Support the company's goal of building a more seamless finance ecosystem, including payroll-related integration over time
3) Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis
- Prepare and review cash flow forecasts, revenue projections, management reports, and financial analysis
- Provide forward-looking insights, not just historical reporting
- Analyse trends, risks, and performance drivers, and recommend practical actions
- Advise management on profitability, cash flow, financial priorities, and decision-making
4) Cost Control and Commercial Support
- Identify opportunities for cost savings, stronger controls, and better financial discipline
- Review areas of inefficiency, leakage, and margin pressure
- Recommend ways to improve productivity, profitability, and resource allocation
- Bring commercial judgment and business sense, not just technical accounting knowledge
5) Policies, SOPs, Controls, and Governance
- Review and improve accounting policies, SOPs, internal controls, and finance processes
- Strengthen accountability, compliance, and consistency within the finance function
- Support internal audit readiness, governance, and proper documentation
- Help build a more structured, scalable, and dependable finance environment
6) Stakeholder Management
- Liaise with auditors, company secretary, banks, financial institutions, and relevant stakeholders
- Support financing-related matters, documentation, and follow-through
- Ensure finance-related documentation and coordination are properly managed
7) Collections and Receivables Oversight
- Monitor collections and outstanding receivables
- Review ageing reports and ensure proper follow-up on overdue accounts
- Improve collection processes and strengthen discipline around receivables
- Work with the team to ensure timely billing follow-up and payment collection
- Identify collection issues early and recommend actions to improve cash flow and reduce overdue accounts
8) Team Support and Leadership
- Work closely with the team, guide junior staff, and strengthen capability within the finance function
- Be willing to operate independently while also managing support staff where needed
- Maintain standards, accountability, and delivery in a remote work environment
