HAP SUY HARDWARE CO., INC. was founded by a Chinese national named Sy Kun in 1946, right after World War II. He used the name “Hap Suy” because of its literal meaning “combined luck.” The founder started with a wooden push cart to peddle his goods around downtown Manila and neighboring towns. Eventually, he opened his first store in Ongpin St. in Binondo. But it was during the 60s, when Hap Suy began importing hardware products that it began its ascent in the hardware industry. From its humble beginnings, it has gone very far and has become a top industry player in the wholesale and distribution of hardware goods.   After over 70 years, the company provides the industry with a wide range of products and acknowledged brands. To date, the Company carries over 10,000 SKUs. HAP SUY has over 8,000 active clients all over the country. Its client base includes real estate developers, contractors, hardware wholesalers, hardware and construction depots, traditional hardware retailers and DIY retail stores. It stands proud with its extensive distribution network nationwide that covers both the rural & urban areas.   At present, Hap Suy Hardware Co., Inc. is already being managed by the third and fourth generation of the owners.
