QUALITY CONTROL OFFICER

Location: Santa Rosa, Laguna

Employment Type: Full-time, On-site

Salary: Up to ₱35,000/month, depending on experience

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Officer who will be responsible for inspecting and monitoring the quality of incoming materials, in-process items, and finished food packaging products. The role will ensure that products consistently meet established quality standards, product specifications, food-safety requirements, and customer expectations.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Production, Warehouse, and Operations teams to identify quality issues, document findings, implement corrective actions, and help maintain consistent product quality.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct quality inspections of incoming raw materials, packaging materials, and finished products.
• Check products for defects, dimensions, appearance, durability, cleanliness, and overall quality.
• Ensure food packaging products comply with approved specifications and quality standards.
• Inspect products such as kraft packaging, paper cups, sugarcane bagasse containers, and other food-grade packaging.
• Perform sampling and testing based on established quality-control procedures.
• Monitor production processes and identify potential quality issues before products are released.
• Document inspection results, defects, non-conformities, and corrective actions.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality-related concerns and coordinate with relevant teams for resolution.
• Work with Production and Operations teams to identify the root cause of quality issues.
• Recommend corrective and preventive actions to minimize recurring defects.
• Maintain accurate quality-control records, reports, checklists, and inspection documents.
• Conduct regular product and process audits.
• Assist in developing and improving quality-control procedures and inspection standards.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and packaging of products to prevent damage or contamination.
• Support compliance with applicable food-safety, quality, and packaging standards.
• Perform other quality-related tasks as assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 2–3 years of experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance, preferably in food packaging, manufacturing, FMCG, food production, or a related industry.
• Experience in inspecting physical products and identifying defects.
• Knowledge of quality-control procedures, inspection methods, sampling, and documentation.
• Familiarity with food-safety and quality standards is an advantage.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies or defects.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong documentation and report-writing skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on-site in Santa Rosa, Laguna.
• Willing to conduct hands-on inspections within production/warehouse areas.
