Safety Officer

Job Description

• Hazard Identification: Conduct daily inspections to identify and mitigate safety hazards and environmental risks.
• Safety Training: Conduct site safety inductions, toolbox talks, and emergency drills for all workers.
• Incident Management: Investigate accidents or near-misses, determine root causes, and prepare incident reports.
• Compliance: Enforce company safety policies and ensure strict compliance with DOLE-OSH regulations.
• Equipment Oversight: Monitor the proper use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safety gear.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• Certifications: Completed DOLE-accredited 40-hour BOSH or COSH training (SO2 level minimum).
• Skills: Strong knowledge of occupational health standards, risk assessment, and emergency response.
• Traits: Excellent firm communication, keen attention to detail, and quick problem-solving skills under pressure.
