OSH Practitioner

The OSH (Occupational Safety and Health) Practitioner is responsible for implementing and monitoring the company's health and safety programs in compliance with DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and other applicable regulations.

The role ensures a safe working environment for all employees, subcontractors, and visitors at construction sites.

Responsibilities

1. Implement and monitor the company's Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) Program.
2. Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify workplace hazards.
3. Ensure compliance with DOLE OSH Standards, company policies, and client safety requirements.
4. Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings, and OSH training for employees.
5. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare corresponding reports.
6. Recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate safety risks.
7. Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
8. Prepare and maintain safety records, reports, permits, and regulatory documents.
9. Coordinate with project managers, supervisors, and government agencies regarding safety compliance.
10. Assist during DOLE inspections, client audits, and internal safety audits.
11. Promote a strong safety culture across all project sites.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or any related field.
2. Must be a DOLE-accredited OSH Practitioner with a valid accreditation.
3. Preferably with 2–5 years of experience as an OSH Practitioner in the construction industry.
4. Knowledgeable in DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS), Department Orders, and construction safety regulations.
5. Experience in conducting safety inspections, accident investigations, and risk assessments.
6. Familiar with preparation of safety reports and documentation.
7. Good communication and leadership skills.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
9. Willing to be assigned to project sites and travel as required.
10. Preferably with COSH/BOSH training and other relevant safety certifications.
